Canada Day is always a fun family celebration for us and I always like to capture the memories in photos. Over the years our celebrations have changed. We always went to the Canada Day Parade in our hometown and fireworks that evening in the neighbouring town. The last few years have changed with work commitments from the older children and documenting each year helps us remember the changes.
With today being National Camera Day—let’s finish up with series of Getting To Know Your Camera.
ISO – International Standard of Organization or before digital it was known as film speed and not “in search of”. Well, we are “in search of” more light!
Low ISO – less light and less grain or noise.
High ISO – more light and more grain or noise.
This Japonism Bundle of products is absolutely stunning. It was inspired by Japanese Art. It has a soft pastel hue to it, and can be used to create projects for baby, family, a picnic at the park, flowers, outdoors, etc.
Let’s create a couple of cards using these Limited Edition products from our friends in Japan.
It’s that time of year…time for family vacations! So much of the fun is in the planning and the getting there. Why not start your vacation pages with pictures of the eager adventure-bound faces on the plane and stories and memorabilia of the travel plans?
Here I’ve paired the Gallivant collection with the Jumbo Jet Border Maker Cartridge to create some easy vacation borders.
Wherever your adventures take you this summer, I hope you enjoy the journey!
These beautiful Japonism Pastel papers and Natural Laser Cut Embellishment products were designed to honor the influence of Japanese art on western culture and feature both natural themes and subtle graphics in soft hues.
It was fun showing you how to do a few paper folding techniques, and incorporating them into the borders as well.
Create a few of your own borders, and share with us on social media using #creativememories .
Some of the best memories we’ve shared have been gathered with friends and loved ones around a dining room table, the kitchen counter or island while someone cooks, or meeting up for a picnic or dinner to catch up. This sentiment was the inspiration behind the Made With Love collection, and now you can remember your fondest memories with downloadable Made With Love FREE phone wallpapers! Featuring three fun, food-related wallpapers–a picnic blanket pattern, recipe chalkboard and cutting board, you can download one or all three for the perfect phone wallpaper to suit your mood!
Download your favorites below, and if you don’t see your phone listed in the options, try on a size and see if it fits. We bet that you’ll find one that works. Continue reading 3 Free Made With Love Cell Phone Wallpapers
There’s nothing like getting out in nature–feeling warm breezes, smelling trees and campfires, experiencing your surroundings, from ordinary to majestic. Of course, having your camera along to try to capture it all is part of the adventure! When you’re back home, spreading out your pictures and remembering the day, the Adventure Collection’s earthy designs, colors and images will help you tell the story in vivid detail.
My beautiful niece recently married, and I offered (I would’ve begged) to make her wedding album for her! The new Forever Yours Wedding Collection with its elegant, timeless pieces, along with the lovely photos taken, are all I need to create the perfect keepsake of her special day.
Here are a few borders I’ve created to personalize the Forever Yours Fast2Fab Album I’m using. Something I love about making borders to decorate my pages is that they are so versatile: they work well on any style of page, from Fast2Fab to black to white.
Celebrate Canada Paper Pack doesn’t have to just be used for Canada Day and the papers don’t just have to be used in Canada! This versatile paper paper pack can be used for so many different layouts and occasions. There are so many great designs included. I wanted to share a few of the pages that I have done, but I have so many more pages I can envision using these gorgeous papers with my photos!
