Did you know that colouring can relieve stress? According to a recent article in The Huffington Post, “The practice generates wellness, quietness and also stimulates brain areas related to motor skills, the senses and creativity.” I’m not sure about you, but when I first saw the Black & White Paper Pack and Stickers, I immediately thought of colouring! This collection just makes me want to pull out my Dual-Tip Pens and start doodling… and that is exactly what I did.
I had so much fun creating this layout of my little man. We just celebrated his 8th birthday and all he wanted was to have a pottery party so that’s what he got!
To create this scrapbook layout, you will need:
- Black & White Paper Pack
- Black & White Variety Mat Pack
- Black & White Stickers
- 12-inch Straight Trimmer
- Tape Runner
- Repositionable Tape Runner Refill
- Foam Squares
- Dual-Tip Pens
Step 1: Using a 12-inch Straight Trimmer, cut the triangle patterned paper down to 11″ x 11″.
Step 2: Randomly colour in a few of the triangles using the Dual-Tip Pens.
Step 3: Using the Repositionable Tape Runner, adhere your selected mats to the layout as shown. Then, mount two photo collage strips to the mats.
Step 4: Cut the “It’s the little things” sentiment from the mat using a pair of All-Purpose Scissors. Cut a “v” at each end to create a banner. Adhere to the layout using Foam Squares. Colour the words using an orange Dual-Tip Pen.
Step 5: Cut the camera from the mat using a pair of All-Purpose Scissors and adhere to the bottom right-side of the mat as shown. Use the Dual-Tip Pens to colour the image then apply a Gem Sticker to the center.
Step 6: Add your journaling and stickers to complete the layout.
