Hi everybody! I’ve been playing with a new tool and the Adventure Designer Paper Pack, Adventure Designer Sticker Pack and the Variety Mat Pack. Believe it or not, these photos were from Easter Sunday. Every year, when we visit my husband’s side of the family, Edward likes to go down to the stream to play in the water. He has been doing this for the past four years. And every year, I forget to take a change of clothes for him to change into after he falls and gets himself wet. Note to self: Pack extra clothes this Easter.
It’s that time of year…time for family vacations! So much of the fun is in the planning and the getting there. Why not start your vacation pages with pictures of the eager adventure-bound faces on the plane and stories and memorabilia of the travel plans?
Here I’ve paired the Gallivant collection with the Jumbo Jet Border Maker Cartridge to create some easy vacation borders.
Wherever your adventures take you this summer, I hope you enjoy the journey!

Adventure can be described as
Do you know someone who is going on an adventure?
Perhaps they are graduating from high school or college, going on a mission trip, or moving out on their own for the first time—and you want to wish them well in said ADVENTURE, this is the perfect card to create.
My life has been documented relentlessly since I was born. Sitting on a bookshelf, the blue scrapbooks have multiplied through the years as I have experienced more and more in life. From the big moments: the first day of kindergarten, starting high school, college acceptance letter, my grandma’s last Christmas, and moving to Philadelphia; to the trifling: vacations, school dances, sporting events, family reunions, and day trips; my life is neatly remembered in those growing blue books.
We all love to getaway. Whether it is for a day, a weekend, or a week-long vacation- it refreshes the body and soul.
Last summer, my husband and I took a week off of work to move both of our boys into their new homes. One to his sophomore year of college in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the other to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania for his first year of law school. It was an adventure to say the least. We traveled over 3000 miles and saw parts of the country that we had never seen before. We loved capturing photos of the road signs and countryside along the way.
When I saw the Painted Harvest Collection I thought of the warmness it exuded.
That warm, fuzzy, comfy feeling of home.
Immediately, I had to create something for my home decor.
I wanted to duplicate the paper wreath in which I created for the current catalog using the Cool Serenity Collection.
Summer is just about coming to an end, and I am sure that you all have taken fabulous vacations before the kids headed back to school!
Krislyn shares with us some border ideas for all those water related photos that you took–adding to the borders, she created some beautiful page titles using the slide-ins.
These combos are sure to add pizzazz to all of your summery travel scrapbook pages.
I just wanted to share an idea on how to use the Slide-in Packs to get an album completed quickly.
I always take so many photos when we are vacation because I want to capture the memories, but I also enjoy photography so it is a major hi-light of vacation for me.
I struggle when I get home to get my album done because our busy schedule sometime gets in the way. T
his time I thought I would try something different and journal about our vacation while we were there and use the Multi-Pocket Pages to complete my album when I returned home.
I’m loving Creative Memories’ new Ocean Waves Border Maker Cartridge! Used with the blues from Creative Memories’ Travel Cardstock or the Cool Serenity Collection it’s the perfect complement to your seaside scrapbook layouts.
