The Pockets Albums are a great way to get a project done quickly, especially for gifts. I love using lots of embellishments so incorporating digital artwork with my photos works fantastically for pocket pages.
“Think imaginatively using new ideas instead of traditional or expected ideas.”
Can you guess what the sentence above is a definition of? I’m almost one hundred percent positive that you’ve heard it before…
Need a hint? A square box….or lots of little square boxes.
Did you get it now? Alright, let’s check your answer.
I was recently at a baby shower for a friend. The mom-to-be is obsessed with cute foxes, so the location was beautifully decorated with handcrafted woodsy-themed baby decorations, the food was cleverly named with forest creatures in mind (e.g., bare meatballs with sauce served on the side were labeled as Bear Balls), and the games were equally as well-thought-out and personalized for the future mom. The only thing that wasn’t well-thought-out and customized? The baby shower cards.
As I watched her open card after card and gift card after gift card (all bearing the same company name and image, mind you), it dawned on me how special a handmade baby shower card could be.
The Woodland Whimsy Baby Boy and Baby Girl Collections just might be my favorite product line yet! Both collections are full of versatile prints and incredibly cute embellishments and stickers. However, these collections are not just for baby photos. The woodland theme is also perfect for any type of outdoor photos. In fact, I think that the collections are neutral enough to be used for almost any type of photos.
As always, Creative Memories is right on trend with these collections. The woodland theme is currently a popular motif for baby nurseries, and both of my samplers would make a cute decor item. They could be used with an easel on a dresser or framed for the wall. The samplers would also make a great introduction page to a baby scrapbook album.
Today I am so excited to be sharing this project with you! I recently hosted a baby shower for a friend of mine and to create all of the party decor and elements I used the DIGITAL Cake My Day Collection!
Everything was pre-designed on my computer and then I sent it off to have it printed on cardstock at my local print shop. It was super fast, super fun to make, and best of all — it knocked the socks off the mama-to-be, which is always fun!
So, let’s get started! What I did first was downloaded the Cake My Day collection from the CM shop. Once the files were purchased, I uploaded them into my software and started to design!
The first 12 months of a baby’s life are filled with precious moments that need to be photographed and saved. You may have noticed the wonderful photo trend that’s encouraging moms and dads to document a baby’s first 12 months in creative ways.
I’m going to share with you how you can create a baby’s first year album as a gift for a friend or family member. As an avid scrapbooker, I absolutely love sharing my completed albums with those I love. Not everyone in my life shares my passion for paper-crafting, but they all see the value in having memories preserved. Plus, they love spending time looking through the photos and reading the journaling. As you can imagine, when a completed album is gifted to them the response of appreciation is overwhelming!
Are you feeling blue?
We certainly are NOT, as we are loving the new Denim Blues Collection.
The collection has various blues to use to scrapbook just about any occasion….baby, family, a day on the farm, teenagers, etc.
Noreen created this “2 Cute” scrapbooking spread of an adorable little guy showing off his handsomeness.
This collection pairs so well with the Beige Cardstock. It’s warm and inviting.
