Isn’t life beautiful?
There are so many days that I just have to step back and remind myself how beautiful this life we live really is. Take a deep breath, and take in all the sights, sounds, smells, and people around me.
By snapping a few photos of these things, is a wonderful reminder to LOVE LIFE! Today I challenge you to snap at least two photos of the things that will remind you to do this. Once you have these photos, add them to a layout! Throw a few flowers on there for the beauty-factor!

I feel the need to give you a little history of me. I love to create cards and mini albums but I had a mental block with scrapbooking I could not get rid of. I wanted to scrapbook the numerous photos I have at home but I always felt like I would do it wrong. I was afraid of someone pointing out everything that I shouldn’t do on a layout. Not sure how I broke the mental block but it is gone forever!! I realized the pages I create are for me and my family to enjoy, it’s not like I am publishing them for the world to see…oh wait! I am!! I believe my style of scrapbooking is far from traditional but I am always happy with the result. I hope you enjoy the layout I made of my great nephew Bannon.

It was 1989. I got a letter in the mail that said “Come see the new Shoebox to Showcase scrapbook albums; learn how to get your pictures out of those yucky sticky albums. Bring a friend and get a FREE PEN!”
Of course I wanted to learn about putting pictures in albums. Ordering triplicate copies of pictures was the ”in” thing to do when you got them developed. Which meant that my once-scant box of pictures was now exploding all over the place in numerous boxes, spilling out of bags, and peeking out from under the bed. SO many pictures because I had two little children. And I meant to capture every new outfit, messy face and everything in between.

Today is International Women’s Day, so let’s remember and celebrate the women who have been impactful in our lives.
For some, it may have been an inspirational teacher you had growing up, or perhaps a boss or supervisor who went the extra mile to show you success. For me, it was my maternal grandmother, Leona, who we affectionately called “Grandma Onie.” My goal in this life is to be half the woman she was. Let me tell you a little bit about her.
