Friends Forever

Hi everybody. A week ago, I finally got the chance to meet up with my Best Friend Mischelle for dinner and a movie. We’ve been friends for over twenty years! I met Mischelle when I was a senior in high school. She’s 10 years older than me, but the age difference never mattered… as you can see. Twenty years later we still make fun of each other and laugh at ourselves. We often say, what happen to us? We are getting old!

I love the photo of us together. We barely had any make-up on, but we didn’t let that bother us. We always take photos when we are together. It’s all about the moment.

Simple Borders Using Dancing Daisies!

One of my favourite things to do when Creative Memories launches a new Border Maker Cartridge is to punch out a whole pile of the new border and just play! I like to see how it can be layered, stacked, positioned on a page, etc. I just love spending some time being creative! I also love seeing which other Border Maker Cartridges coordinate nicely with it.

Today I want to share with you what came out of my playing and experimenting with the new Dancing Daisies Border Maker Cartridge. I chose to punch a pile of white border strips as a starting point and then used the Mix and Match Paper Pack and Embellishments to complete some borders.

Love Bug Mix & Match Layout

Who is your love bug?  Maybe it might be your husband, your child, your niece or nephew, your grandchild….. whoever it is, this is the perfect layout to add their photos to.

Document the reasons why they are your “Love Bug”.  Trust me, it will make them feel loved beyond measure!

Creating a simple, yet embellished layout does not have to be a lot of work.  Cut several strips of paper the same length and width, and then a few flowers at the end of each and you are golden.

Love Your Life

Isn’t life beautiful?

There are so many days that I just have to step back and remind myself how beautiful this life we live really is.  Take a deep breath, and take in all the sights, sounds, smells, and people around me.

By snapping a few photos of these things, is a wonderful reminder to LOVE LIFE!  Today I challenge you to snap at least two photos of the things that will remind you to do this. Once you have these photos, add them to a layout! Throw a few flowers on there for the beauty-factor!

Doodling on Your Scrapbooking Layouts

Hello everybody! Today, I am sharing a layout using the Royal Blue and Cranberry Mix & Match Designer Paper and Flower Embellishments. I know that the 4th of July has come and gone, but I love this photo too much to not scrap it.

The morning of the 4th of July, Edward and I arrived to my sister Jamie’s house to help her set up since she was hosting the 4th of July party. Naturally, she and I took a selfie as we poured ourselves a glass of Mimosa.

My sister texts Jamie after she see’s the selfie and was like, “what is she wearing!” (that would be me). We bought the same shirt at Target to wear and it totally wasn’t planned. She showed up an hour later with a different version of my shirt. Well, our shirt. LOL, she took a pair of scissors to make herself a v-neck and trimmed the edges of her sleeves. I am not sure why she just didn’t cut the shirt in half across the middle while she was at it, but we had a good laugh!
